The Role

The leader we are looking for is a highly productive team-player with excellent focus and prioritization skills. You should have demonstrated success building complex web applications with experience building frontend, backend, and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with experience running and growing technical teams. As a leader, you know that your communication skills are just as important as your technical skills and you can regularly transition from engineer to manager (and back) as the situation requires. You should be obsessed with finding the right balance between writing quality code and shipping fast.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3-5 years of work experience as a professional software engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience growing and running an engineering team
  • Demonstrated experience building products from the ground up, maintaining them, and iterating.
  • Strong frontend, backend, and infrastructure development skills.
  • Passionate and obsessive about finding the right balance between writing quality code and shipping fast.
Responsibilities:
  • Determine the best architecture for our core technology and ensure a successful technical roadmap and strategy.
  • Contribute directly to critical engineering and technical tasks.
  • Grow the Engineering organization and lead by example.
  • Set up best practices for the engineering team – code reviews, testing, CI/CD, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally to collaborate with other teams, contributing to technical, product, and business discussions to convey technical limitations and opportunities.
  • Ensure technical support for our internal team and customer needs during daily product operation.
  • Collaborate with company leaders to outline a product roadmap and business strategy.

Senior Product Designer

Senior Product Designer

The role
Looking for a new home? Our design team is growing. To thrive in this role, you’ll have 5+ years of design experience under your belt, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the pace and variety of design work. Your ability to balance form and function is as good as your ability to balance client and user needs, and you can adapt to new challenges like a pro. We are looking  for your strategic thinking and collaborative design chops at every stage of the game, from research to wireframes to visual design.

Your responsibilities
– Collaborate with and support our team to design and build products that you feel genuinely proud of.
– Apply your design thinking and execution skills throughout the entire product lifecycle, keeping a keen eye on opportunities to step in and step up.
– Participate in design team reviews, sharing, and brainstorms.

The must-have shortlist
– 5+ years of product design experience on a product team or work at a digital product agency or consultancy, with 3+ years in a senior role.
– A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills. UX expertise, specifically in the implementation of user testing and research throughout the design process.
– Solid experience in prototyping and interaction design. Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into simple UIs.

Design Lead

Design Lead

The role
For this role, we’re on the lookout for someone with a vested interest in helping our team find it’s groove. We named it “Design Lead” for a reason, and we invite you to take that literally. Product design is paramount, so your comprehension of what it takes to get digital products out the door is our first non-negotiable. Beyond that, you’ve established yourself as someone people look up to, and you don’t take that privilege lightly. You’ll still deal in pixels, but you’ll also play an integral role in a project’s success with clear direction, leadership, guidance, and encouragement. You believe that good ideas can come from anywhere, and you actively support your team in making sure everyone is heard.

Your responsibilities
– Guide the design process throughout projects, as well as dig into wires alongside the team.
– Drive client presentations and discussions of your team’s work.
– Respectfully decline the status quo and push both colleagues outside their comfort zones.
– Work with Producers and Client Support/Success to scope project requirements.
– Help promote an inspiring and inclusive environment for the team.

The must-have shortlist
– 5+ years of product design experience on a product teams or at a digital product agency or consultancy, ideally in a lead role.
– Demonstrated mastery of UI/UX principles, best practices, and common design tools (read: Figma). Bonus points for interaction design skills (think After Effects, Principle, or Framer).
– A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills.
– A natural inclination to take the lead and help everyone arrive at a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of the work.
– Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into simple UIs.
– Addicted to staying ahead of desktop and mobile best practices, developments and trends in web, mobile and iOS design.

Customer Success Manager

Customer Success Manager

We are looking for an amazing Customer Success Manager (CSM). The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with customers ensuring successful deployment of NousTalk products and services. Your efforts will drive customer satisfaction and happiness.

Responsibilities:

    • The CSM is the Trusted Advisor, manages deployment, and product adoptions for customer accounts
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders within assigned accounts
    • Conduct on-going account meetings to communicate best practices, develop plans for expanded functional usage, provide use case examples for leveraging key product functionality and communicate new feature releases
    • Plan and conduct on-boarding and training for new customers
    • Closely manage and nurture accounts to identify and eliminate risk attribution
    • Create and deliver monthly reports to highlight customer successes and provide on-going recommendations for further optimization
    • Analyze customer account trends and provide feedback to internal stakeholders to ensure quality standards, customer requirements, and features are properly deployed and addressed
    • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders with demonstrated ability to take direction and produce required results

Requirements:

    • Minimum 1+ year of Customer Success Management experience
    • Minimum of 3+ years experience and a proven track servicing strategic accounts
    • Previous experience working in a Client or Customer Success role within one of these industries: cloud/SaaS and audio video vendors
    • Ability to demonstrate account portfolio planning competency, ability to prioritize work and strong time management skills are required
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present to executive and key decision makers
    • CRM experience
    • Ability to deliver customized presentations and demonstrations via web conference
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
    • Strong product knowledge of Video / Audio Collaboration with ability to articulate how to best use and deploy the service
    • Strong acumen of software industry
    • Great interpersonal skills with a positive attitude

CLOUD UI/UX DEVELOPER

Here is what you will do:

  • Design and build new features into the NousTalk Platform to improve customer experience
  • Work with Analytics teams to analyze and learn from user experiences
  • Identify and address automated platform testing and security needs
  • Participate in building common UI components and libraries
  • Participate in various open source development initiatives

In performing this role, you will:

  • Be enrolled in a computer science or engineering program at an Ontario college or university
  • Have some knowledge or experience in UI/UX development using JS/CSS/HTML and related frameworks such as React, Redux, and Angular
  • Use your knowledge of JSON to code REST APIs
  • Identify as someone on the autism spectrum or with another neurodiverse condition

Nice to have:

  • Experience in data driven UX design and analytics
  • Experience in UI Test Automation technologies such as Nightwatch.js, Selenium, Sauce Labs, etc.
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies
  • Familiarity with agile development and good coding practices (unit tests, code reviews, etc.)
  • Exposure to open source communities surrounding Cloud technologies (e.g. openwhisk)

You’ll take ownership over projects and features and work across a range of systems and technologies to deliver an end to end solution. You’ll also partner with cross functional teams (Product, Operations, Finance, etc.) to ensure a complete customer experience for the clinicians, their clients/patients and partners who use NousTalk every day.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.
